A pumpkin patch gone wild

This was the first time I ever grew sweet pumpkins, specifically for pumpkin pies. Every single day was exciting as we patiently waited to see the pumpkin blossoms and watch the baby pumpkins emerge. I didn't realize that pumpkin vines grew so long, like super long, and that one vine might yield four pumpkins. We ended up harvesting ten pumpkins and gave several away to friends and family. This painting was my attempt to capture the enormous pumpkin leaves and the randomness of the pumpkin fruit.
